The Top 3 Money-Making “To Do” Activities

I’ve always been impressed with those who can take overwhelming things and handle them with ease and poise. It never seemed
to work that way for me, until I discovered the secret for tackling those daunting tasks.

The secret is simple: make things simple!

With just about every major undertaking, things can be simplified into a handful of “core” components. That makes them manageable. Manageable fosters productivity simply because I can work on something that seems accomplishable. And when productivity goes up, desired results come.
I received the following question from one of my clients…

“If you have to pick, what would you say are the top 2 or 3 things we should concentrate on? I’ve heard the domain/site(blog) are the most important, then others say writing info products, others say lists. For short term and long term investment, what is the most important things to
be working on?”

This client wants things simplified. And rightly so. He knows the secret to success is getting things down into manageable
chunks.

So, what are these core practices for building an internet business? There are three things - and three things only - that you need to concentrate on with your business…

1. Offer Development.

You cannot make money online unless you have an OFFER. It’s that simple. Unless there is some way for income to be generated, you can’t get paid. End of discussion. Every business is founded upon a revenue-generating offer. Now, this can either be your own offer (small reports, ebooks, membership sites, coaching/consulting, advertising, etc.) or something you promote as an affiliate and earn revenue for referred sales.

2. List Marketing.

The fortune is in the list. You’ve heard it an untold number of times in the past, right? Building and profiting from opt-in lists should be a major priority on your schedule. You need to devote yourself to attracting new subscribers and then getting all of your subscribers to spend money with you … by purchasing your OFFERS (see #1 above).

3. Traffic.

The third and final thing you need to concentrate on is “traffic”. This includes both traffic GENERATION (getting visitors to a site)
and traffic CONVERSION (getting that traffic to buy). This includes things like: starting an affiliate program, buying PPC ads, participating in joint ventures, utilizing viral marketing tools, raising your visitor value, tweaking your sales pages, etc.

With each of these categories, you have a variety of options to choose from in directing your attention. It would be foolish for me to say “grow your affiliate program” as your number # traffic activity since I don’t know if you even have your own product to sell. That’s why I don’t recommend specific activities, but rather three key categories of business-building.
With each of these categories, find 2-3 activities to work on each week and you should see results in a short amount of time.

I recommend you work on offer development every Monday, list marketing every Tuesday, and traffic generation every Wednesday. If you just spend a couple hours each of these days working on these core parts of your business, sales should come.

In a nutshell -

• Find an offer to promote.
• Setup a list to promote the offer.
• Drive traffic to the list opt-in page.

Keep it simple. Keep it successful.

Stop Directly Marketing Affiliate Links, Start to Use Email Opt In Marketing To Build Your Own List

One of the big mistakes I see most affiliate and network marketers make is directly promoting their affiliate program or opportunity with email opt in marketing, they never promote themselves. They are busy building someone’s list. Now I don’t know if this has happened to you but I’ve been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Yeah I spent months building a large email mailing list in a program and was quite happy too but then the business closed shop. Ouch?! Not sure about you but I won’t do that again. Now everything I do promotes me first. That way if someone pulls the plug or I decide to move on I still have the relationships I have built.

Now this is what I will advice any network marketer or affiliate marketer to do – any email opt in marketing that you do must work towards building your own list. I want to instill in you the great necessity of putting your own list building efforts at the forefront of every business action you complete online from now onwards. To be honest with you, there is nothing you will do that is of more benefit to you than building your own list.

Of course email opt in marketing and list building come with their own challenges. It is not only to find people and send them to your opt in form. One of the greatest challenges any online marketer faces is getting visitors to their website. Forget how well written the web copy is or how enticing the squeeze page is. How to get visitors there is an affiliate marketer’s nightmare. Why do you think there are so many advertising mediums in different shapes and forms? Well enough about that, our concern is how do you build your email opt in list and stop building someone else’s.

This is what you need to have in place, your own autoresponder (at the very least) and your own site. An autoresponder is the backbone of email opt in marketing. When you have this two in place you need to send people to your opt in page to get them to opt in to your email list. Now realize I have not said anything about the affiliate program you’re promoting yet. There is nothing you will do that is of more benefit to you than building your own list.

Next, after having the above in place (I recommend to have both an autoresponder and an opt in page) send every visitor you can to your opt in page. Don’t promote your affiliate link until you have email opt in subscribers. Don’t sign off your post at a forum with your affiliate link, use your own opt in page link. Don’t buy advertisement to directly promote your affiliate link…Have I said enough yet? Use the power of email opt in marketing to promote your affiliate link. In other words only promote your link through a set of emails you send to your subscribers using your autoresponder.

One last important thing, well not last, I want stress is this: everything you do must work towards building your own list. A list is your real estate. You need to have that mindset as you grow your business. Your number one objective, no matter what program you are in, whether you are doing network marketing or affiliate marketing, build your own list first. With your list, email opt in marketing is a beauty, because you can build a relationship with your subscribers unlike if you had just sent them to your affiliate program.

What To Do When You Want To Make More Money With Email Opt In Marketing

Here is really a simple way to pull in as much profits as you want with email opt in marketing. They say the money is in the list. And this is partly a YES. Why? It is true as long as you know how to grow and profit from your opt in email list. Let’s face it you may have a list of 10,000 email members, how you got them is not the point! Let’s just say you have them. If you don’t know how to work your list then the money is not in the list. Now let’s work on how to make money from your list.

Know Your Subscribers

It is important that you get to know your subscribers. If you really want to get the most click thrus and high conversions then you simply must know what your audience wants. How? You ask! Well, when was the last time you polled your email members? When was the last time you asked your list e mail subscribers their opinion? Do you realize the profound value in asking? Get to know their wants, needs, suggestions, ideas, feedback, etc! Hint: When they answer you they have handed you a list of things they are interested in buying. Do you see what I mean? Email opt in marketing is a beauty when you know how to work it!

Next, get them to open your emails

Say you’ve managed to get your website visitors to join your email opt in list. Your next biggest task is to get them to open each list e mail you send. How do you do that? Write a SCREAMING open-me email title. Write a title that compels your email members to take action – somehow get them to open your emails! How do you learn to write such a title? Well one way is to create a swipe file of all the email titles that have screamed “open me” to you in the past. Learn from them!

Then, make sure your emails are being read.

The next challenge is to grab the attention of your email members once they open your email. You gotta keep the pressure on otherwise you will loose them. How do you do that? Include a quick preview at the top of your list e mail. Have you seen any movie trailer before? How does it make you feel at the end of it? I don’t know about you! Me? I normally want run out and go rent that movie…Learn to preview to your email opt in list.

Well crafted email online marketing -> More links = More clicks = Increased sales = More profits

Do we agree? If you are going to use email online marketing you have to have more clicks in your mailings, then more than likely you will have increased sales and that means more profits for you. But the question is how many links should you have in your list e mail? It depends on the length of your email. Try to put the link you are promoting at several places in the email. Caution: Don’t go overboard with this! You will definitely see higher click-thrus by simply putting more links for your email members to click. Note: use the same link not several different links! To get an idea how many links you need to put in your emails, spy on your competition! (psst…that is another tip if you want to make more money with email opt in marketing – spy your competition!)

3 Best Options To Get Free Opt In Subscribers Into Your Emailing List

If you really want to get free opt in subscribers into your mailing list, then you will need to incorporate what you are about to read in your marketing strategy. It is one thing to getting people to your opt-in page or website and another to getting them submit their details to join your list. If getting visitors to your page is one of the greatest challenges an internet market can ever have then getting them to join your list is the second!

To get visitors to join your list of their own free will, all you need is;

Write an attention grabbing headline. Let’s cut to the chase here, whether a visitor reads your opt-in page or not depends on your page headline. Write such an attention grabbing headline that people will be so interested that they stop what they are doing and read your page right then! When you have that happen my friend, you’d have greatly improved chances of their opting in. Side Note: Well when I say a free opt in I am not talking about you using paid traffic methods to your website!

Next to improve your free opt in your page needs to have a handful of bulleted benefits for the visitor. This is normally a list of 3 to 7 benefits the visitor would desire and will want to learn. When these benefits are enticing enough opting in rate will shoot through roof.

The third thing you need is an Opt-in submission form which is normally provided by your autoresponder system. Your submission should not ask too much of your visitor. Consider this as not even your first date. So just ask for a name and an email address that’s it. If you don’t demand too much from your visitor you are like to improve your free opt in rates.

As an added bonus, never ever neglect to reward your newly opted in subscriber. In fact the reward should be one of the things that makes opting in a natural process. This is so important that I’m going to repeat it here, give your visitor a compelling reason to join your list. Offer a free mini-course, a free report, a free downloadable software, a newsletter, etc that would benefit your subscriber. Nothing comes cheap you know! Gone are the days when you can get as many emails as you wanted and blast out to them. Be thankful to your subscriber for trusting you with their contact details. Very important!

The 5-Minute Guide to Effectively Using Google Keyword Tool to Find Keywords

Do you find yourself struggling with how to find keywords for your campaign despite the free Google Keyword Tool at your disposal? For a while I’ve been struggling with finding relevant keywords to bring targeted traffic to my marketing campaigns, be it ppc adwords or article marketing or blogging. In this article you’re going to learn how to find the most profitable keywords, build your keyword lists to broaden your market and open doors to new business opportunities using the Google Keyword Tool.
Now, first! How do you use the Google Keyword Tool to find keywords? We are interested in these columns:

Keywords,
Advertiser Competition,
Approx Search Volume: Previous Month,
Approx Avg Search Volume,
Download Keywords in CSV for Excel.
If you’re not familiar with these columns I suggest you search for the Google Keyword Tool and type in any keyword and look out for them. Here is a brief explanation of each column in the Google Keyword Tool:

Keywords – This is a list of keyword phrases that people use to search on Google e.g. when you type in the word ‘keyword’ onto the Google Keyword Tool to find keywords the tool returns several other keywords related to the keyword ‘keyword’ – randomly these related keywords include ‘keyword seo’, ‘new keyword’, ‘keyword suggestion tools’, ‘keyword com’, etc. So these are keywords related to your searched keyword ‘keyword’ – but not necessarily all related to your campaign!

Advertiser Competition – In this column, Google Keyword Tool displays a shaded bar to give an indication of low to high advertiser competition. A fully shaded bar means a very high completion on that keyword.

Approx Search Volume: [Previous Month] – This column displays the approximate number of keyword searches in the previous month.

Approx Avg Search Volum
e – This column displays the average number of the keyword searches over a 12 month period.

Download Keywords in CSV for Excel – This is not actually a column but a clickable text that appears at the bottom of each group of keywords. This allows you to download the keywords in CSV format to an Excel spreadsheet.

Now let’s move onto how to use the Google keyword Tool to find keywords. Continuing with the above keyword used, say you’ve entered the word ‘keyword’ onto the Google Keyword Tool and the results have been returned. You’ll realize that the tool returns a whole lot of keywords and some of them are not even slightly related to what you’d be looking for. Remember you want to find keywords that you can use for people to find your website, your article, your ppc adwords ad, your blog, forum signature, etc. Or you may want to find keywords that you’d want to use on your profile for social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. So you want to find specific keywords that relate to what you want and at the same time keywords that people use, not something out of your head – you’re removing guess work here.

So 2 things should be in mind when you find keywords –

1. Are the keywords related to what you want to relay to your potential customers, in other words will the keywords bring targeted traffic?!

2. Are the keywords exactly the ones used (word for word, esp. long tail keywords) by your potential audience. You don’t have to fabricate your own, the Google Keyword Tool spits them out for you.

With this in mind, (after finding the keywords) all you have to do is download the entire list to an Excel spreadsheet. Now this is where the fun begins. Here, when in Excel spreadsheet, you’re going to select the keywords that have the least competition, first! Use the ‘Sort’ feature in Excel and sort the keyword list according to the Advertiser Competition. Maybe weed out keywords with competition of 0.8 to 1. You can use your discretion here depending on where you’re going to use the keywords. If it’s in ppc adwords campaign rather find keywords with very low competition, maybe 0 to 0.5. But for an article or blog post maybe 0 to 0.8 will be fine…

After weeding off the high competitive keywords next sort the remaining keywords, still using the ‘Sort’ feature, according to ‘Approx Search Volume: Previous Month’. Maybe the minimum searches you can allow for your keyword is at least 1000 searches per month with a competition of 0 – 0.8. Again here use your discretion; it depends on your objective why you want to find keywords! Weed off keywords with zero or very low traffic, may be less than 800 searches a month?!

After doing this you may remain with a very small list of keywords or still have enough! The list you now have consists of keywords that have low competition and are capable of bringing sizeable traffic, and it may also contain keywords not related to your theme or objective. Now is the time to take out these keywords that are not related to what you want to achieve. If your list becomes even less, take another keyword in your resulting list and repeat the same process all over again…This way you can generate most keywords for your campaign.

Relevant keywords bring relevant traffic to your campaign. But have you uncovered all the possible keywords that relate to your products and services? I hope in this article you’ve learned how to use the Google Keyword Tool to and find keyword to improve your money making potential. So go on use the Google Keyword Tool to find keywords related to your campaign and drive hordes of traffic to your campaign!
